San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

San Miguel de Allende has long been one of my favorite places to photograph in Mexico. This charming Spanish colonial town has grown considerably since I started visiting there during the mid 1980's. Fortunately, its historical center -- which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008 -- has changed little in appearance. San Miguel is more crowded and touristy than it used to be, and consequently some of the original magic has gone. Nevertheless, for me it remains one of the most photogenic towns in Mexico.
